Chain

People

When these practices are applied, producers, consumers, society and the whole food chain all gain. The figures are global and sourced. We work worldwide from La Palma de Cervelló (Barcelona).

Chain Who produces Producers gain when water, soil and management hold together. Small farms contribute more to the world’s food than their share of land suggests. A livelier soil needs fewer bought-in inputs and gives the farmer more independence. FAO, 2021 (Lowder, Sánchez and Bertini). Farms under 2 hectares are 84% of farms, use about 12% of agricultural land and produce about 35% of the world’s food. The bars compare those two shares. This is not one farm’s result.
Chain Who eats Consumers gain too: they eat what grows from living soil. That soil brings minerals into the crop, and several crops together bring more flavours and nutrients to the plate. In Regenera.cat (2026), CREAF found regenerative food with more minerals and antioxidants on four farms in Catalonia and, once the transition was over, similar harvests at the same or lower cost. These are not our farms. CREAF and the Regenerative Agriculture Association, 12 February 2026. Ten criteria, agreed by nearly 200 people, to separate regenerative agriculture from greenwashing. On the compared regenerative vegetable and fruit plots, soil carbon was at least 35% higher and water retention at least 9% higher.
Chain The whole chain Society gains, and so does the whole food chain. But the hunger that persists worldwide is a reminder that this benefit doesn’t arrive on its own. That’s why we also work with those who buy and process: traceability and field evidence for a safe, high-quality supply chain, from the minerals and microbiology of the soil to the proteins and vitamins on the plate. FAO, SOFI 2025. About 673 million people faced hunger in 2024: 8.2% of the world population (point estimate). This is not a result of this headquarters.
