Animals are part of the system: pasture, manure and diversity. We don’t publish stocking rates or yields. The filmed cows are in Cases. We work worldwide from La Palma de Cervelló (Barcelona).

System Pollinators Bees and other pollinators close the cycle of many of the crops we work with. We give no figures for hives per hectare. Insects are bioindicators too: whether they are there or not tells you how the farm is doing.

System Diversity A farm is stronger when it doesn’t rely on a single breed. The global figure is about the risk to local breeds, not about this farm. Pasture, manure and urine return organic matter and minerals to the soil and keep the farm’s bioenergy moving: from sun to grass, from grass to animal, from animal to soil life. FAO, 2019. Of 7,745 local livestock breeds on record, 26% are at risk of extinction.
